ABOUT TIM ZAZIJAL

I was born into music. Three generations of teachers, a house full of notes and rhythms—it was all mapped out.
I studied classical guitar, trained with the greats, and spent years chasing perfection at Gustav Mahler Privatmusik Universität.
Music was supposed to be my life.
But the thing about paths? Sometimes they lead somewhere else.
Long before I ever picked up a guitar, I was painting. Drawing. Smearing color onto anything I could get my hands on.
My art teacher must have seen it coming before I did—she threw me into Chiaro Scuro, a summer school where I learned that art could be more than just a side thing.
It stuck with me, buried under years of sheet music,
until I finally gave in.
So here I am—studying painting and graphic arts at Ortweinschule, letting sound and color collide.
Some pieces feel like a slow blues riff, others like a messy, beautiful improvisation. Whatever it is, it’s honest.
I’m still figuring it out. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the best things in life—the ones that truly stick—aren’t planned.
